Cabinet – Special Offer
Cabinet is a sum; the top part a U-shape upside down in miter is 1,5cm thick, the base also a U-shape in miter is 4,5cm thick, the difference in thickness leaves room for a shelve of 3cm.
At first, the design of Cabinet was considered incomplete, and it remained a sketch for numerous years. The decision to proceed was partly based on the conviction that a very precise execution would enhance the beauty and that Cabinet has as a supporting role serving as a podium or pedestal for all kinds of things.
Spruce was chosen for the repetitive straight lines of its grain, which fits seamlessly with the gesture of Cabinet.
To preserve the colour and tactility of the wood, it has been left untreated.
Production of Cabinet takes place in Austria by Martin Bereuter from Hirnholz with whom we first collaborated on the occasion of Specific Objects, an exhibition at Kunstraum Zug in Austria. The combination of Martin’s high-quality work and Cabinet sparked an instant motivation to collaborate.
This special offer concerns the 1st production batch of Cabinet, which is slightly smaller than the final version. Cabinet is limited to 23 pieces and available for international shipping directly from Hirnholz in Austria.
