Tangerine - TEFAF NY - Carpenters Workshop Gallery
Tangerine is an exhibition for Carpenters Workshop Gallery, curated by Aldo Bakker celebrating and creating a conversation among his contemporaries at TEFAF New York Spring 2022. Tangerine recalls the Netherlands symbolic orange colour, uniting the many facets of Dutch creativity under one flag with understated subtlety. The exhibition will focus on contemporary Dutch artistic production. Bringing together the work of Atelier van Lieshout, Toon Verhoef, Maarten Baas, Tim Enthoven, Nacho Carbonell, Verhoeven Twins, Tijmen Smeulders, Mathieu Meijers, Studio Drift, Robert Zandvliet and Aldo Bakker. Tangerine comprises the elements within these works of irony, playfulness, reserve, but also carefulness. Bakker focuses on the synergy between these elements. The works fit together instinctively, forming a cross-section of the current Dutch artistic landscape, where boundaries are blurred and disciplines reinforce each other.
